The Center for Technology and Professional Development provides support for Lake Land College online classes. Please review the information on support pages before submitting an online help desk form.
Please review the technical requirements below and prepare your computer. It is best to do this before you begin your course. Change any settings that are necessary and download any plug-ins you do not have installed on your computer. It is recommended that you have a backup plan for accessing your course should your computer crash or Internet service go down. Most libraries provide Internet access. Computers are available in the Virgil H. Judge Learning Resource Center on the Mattoon campus and the Consuello Luttrell Resource Room at Kluthe (Effingham) campus.
Some courses may require additional software purchases. Be sure to check the instructor's syllabus for any additional course requirements. Most additional software can be purchased at a significantly lower price for students from the Lake Land College Bookstore
Lake Land College uses a textbook rental system. Students taking internet courses must pick up rented textbooks/materials through the Textbook Library Service, located in the Lake Land College Bookstore on the main campus. Students unable to pick up and/or return their textbooks/materials on campus should make arrangements to purchase these items through the Lake Land College Bookstore (217-234-5420) or from other sources.
If you are having difficulties remembering your password to login to Lake Land College Internet Registration and Information System (IRIS), you must contact Information Systems and Services by phone 217-234-5261. Your information must be verified by you before your password will be reset. This will only be done by phone or in person. We cannot help students with resetting IRIS password via email.
Please review the information on this page if you are a first time user of the new IRIS system.
If you are new student, you must apply to the college before you can access IRIS. Students who have previously applied to the college, but have not taken courses the previous semester (excluding summer) must reapply before they can access IRIS. To apply or reapply to the college, go to the LLC Start Page and follow onscreen instructions.
Applications must be processed before IRIS IDs are created. This process may take 24 to 48 for your IRIS ID to be created. If you have applied to the college and cannot not find your IRIS ID by the instructions below, contact Admissions at 217-234-5434.
If you have applied to the college and are ready to register for classes, follow the steps below to locate your IRIS user ID.
If you can't login or have forgotten your password, contact Information Systems and Services at 217-234-5261.
All students registered at Lake Land College should obtain a student ID card. The student ID number is located on the student ID card directly under your name. If you do not have a student ID card, the student ID can be located in IRIS.
